The effective date of amendments to compliance rules and NFA interpretive notices which expressly incorporate supervisory requirements for IBs, CTAs, CPOs and FCMs who engage in swaps activities is September 30, 2019. Visit the NFA website for more information or check with your compliance officer.

In July, FinCEN updated the list of FATF-identified jurisdictions with AML/CFT deficiencies. You should review the listings and make any necessary changes to your AML program. The list can be found at nfa.futures.org.

The CFTC has a new webcast discussing climate-related financial risk. You can view it on YouTube or at “CFTC Talks.”

FIA will present a webinar on August 22 to discuss the CFTC enforcement advisory which signaled its intention to become involved in investigations relating to foreign corrupt practices. Register Here or on the FIA website.
