OUR ASSOCIATION
NIBA was established as a not-for-profit association in 1991. Before NIBA existed, Introducing Brokers had no central organization to ensure that they were represented within the industry. Now, through the efforts of dedicated members and volunteers, NIBA has continued to grow in both size and influence and is well respected throughout the markets.
NIBA’s goals and objectives rely on the unifying constant of communication. As the only official association representing IBs, it is our purpose to ensure open channels of communication among individual members and between IBs, FCMs and industry regulators. Through these channels, our members learn, network, do business and find greater opportunities, both personally and professionally.
Every year IBs have the chance to do all this and more at NIBA’s Annual Conference, held every year in Chicago. Here, IBs from across the country connect with their peers to exchange ideas, discuss concerns and trade professional experiences from which other members can learn.
In addition to our Annual Conference, NIBA regularly schedules meetings with the NFA and the CFTC to discuss regulatory/policy issues, and with the Chicago, Kansas City, New York and other member exchanges to focus on relevant IB topics. Our email updates and frequent fax messaging helps members stay informed, current and connected.
NIBA membership allows access to a variety of privileges, as a number of vendors, suppliers and resource providers to the industry grant discounts to NIBA members toward their products and services.
NIBA has become a unified voice for IBs nationwide, through our steadfast mission to enhance communications and maximize the spectrum of opportunities available to our members. It is a voice that commands respect throughout the industry and continues to grow in scope and strength, with the support of our members. We look forward to having you as a member. |
